1   Introduction

Certain mobile phones with a specific operating system (OS) release installed have been validated against the AMC 2.0. However, we can not guarantee that the AMC software will function with other mobile phone releases or OS, unless it has been properly validated by Aastra or Aastra’s assigned partners. 
Aastra can not accept any liability for faults discovered in 3rd party software or hardware products (e.g. mobile phones and OS), which is not under Aastra’s control.
However, should there be any compatibility issues or faults discovered with any new mobile phone and/or OS release, Aastra will work with mobile phone vendors/partners to find a suitable resolution in a timely manner to minimize the inconvenience to customers.

 

 

2                         AMC supported Aastra PBX platforms

AMC 2.0 supports following Aastra PBX platforms:
IntelliGate, OpenCom, BusinessPhone, MD Evolution and MX-ONE.

3                         AMC supported phone OS

 

 

3.1                      Android phone OS

AMC 2.0 supports Android 1.6 and newer releases.

AMC 2.0 software for Android based OS phones can be download from the AMC portal or the market place.

- Android OS known problems:

The AMC 2.0 needs to be started on the phone to be able to read the incoming config and license SMSs.

- Android phone known problems:

                      SonyEricsson X10 Mini pro (X10 works OK):

Android version: 1.6

Kernel-version:  2.6.29

Fault: Out of call service (diversion) which contains the DTMF code:
# will not work due to that the phone tries to trigger internal phone services.

 

 

 

3.2                      BlackBerry RIM OS

AMC 2.0 supports RIM OS versions 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 and 5.0.
The AMC 2.0 software can be downloaded from the AMC portal.

To know which OS version is installed on the phone do following:

·         On the phone go to option menu à About:

·         Or if the user is connected to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) you can check which OS the user has installed on the device.

- BlackBerry RIM OS known issue:

The AMC 2.0 needs to be started on the phone to be able to read the incoming config and license SMSs

 

 

 

3.3                      Symbian S60 3rd edition

AMC 2.0 supports all Symbian S60 3rd edition phones. Please search on Internet to find out what OS type the phone has (usually the phone manufacture web page or manufacture forums or Wikipedia tells what OS the specific phone has). Typical manufactures of Symbian S60 3rd based phones are: Nokia, LG and Samsung

- Symbian S60 3rd edition phone known issue:

Some customers has reported problem with some muted calls on Nokia E52.

 

 

 

3.4                      Symbian S60 5th edition

AMC 2.0 supports all Symbian S60 5th edition phones. Please, search on Internet to find out what OS type the phone has (usually the phone manufacture web page or manufacture forums or Wikipedia tells what OS the specific phone has).
Typical manufactures of Symbian S60 5th based phones are: SonyEricsson, Nokia, LG and Samsung. Nokia has released new phones (e.g. N8) with OS Symbian ^3.  AMC 2.0 S60 5th edition should work on these OS phone, but AMC 2.0 with Symbian ^3 is not fully tested yet.
